Ressence unveiled the TYPE 1 Round Rose Gold at Dubai Watch Week 2025, bringing depth and warmth to the essentialist ethos that has defined the brand since the original TYPE 1 debuted in 2014. Limited to 70 pieces, this edition marks the first time the brand’s signature form is expressed through rose-gold plating, pairing intuitive design with a refined new palette.
ESSENTIALISM REIMAGINED IN ROSE GOLD
The edition preserves the convex dial architecture of the TYPE 1°, but introduces a 4N rose-gold-plated surface with a soft sunray finish. Guilloché-finished discs sit flush within the dial, and a sandblasted case ring and bezel create subtle contrast without breaking the purity of the silhouette.
Approachable yet distinctive, it brings an emotional warmth to Ressence’s essentialist design language, creating a contemporary interpretation of a familiar form.
SIMPLICITY THROUGH INNOVATION
Driving the display is the patented ROCS 1.3 module, powered by the minute axle of a customised 2892 calibre. Hours, seconds, and days of the week are presented through rotating bi-axial satellites for an intuitive, bi-dimensional reading of time.
Engraved indications filled with Grade A Super-LumiNova enhance clarity, while the crownless construction underscores Ressence’s focus on ergonomics and ease of interaction.
A HARMONY OF TONES AND TEXTURES
The rose-gold dial is balanced by cool silver subdials and crisp white markers, giving the composition warmth and legibility. A light grey suede strap completes the watch, complementing the dial’s tone without overshadowing it.
