Gerald Genta expands the Gentissima Oursin collection at Dubai Watch Week with two new 41-millimetre references crafted from blue and green meteorite. The larger profile brings fresh presence to one of the brand’s most distinctive designs, created in-house at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton and imagined for collectors who seek art, tactility and bold identity on the wrist.
METEORITE FROM THE COSMOS
The Oursin was born from Mr. Gerald Genta’s encounter with a sea urchin on a Corsican beach, inspiring a watch defined by its bead-studded, sculptural form. The new Oursin 41 stays true to that origin story while introducing a dial carved from meteorite, each slice revealing a natural crystalline structure that makes every piece one of one.
Housed in a sandblasted grade 5 titanium case set with 234 individually fitted white gold beads, the watch balances lightness with striking presence. Gold hands, luminous markers and a specially shaped sapphire crystal, curved on the outside and subtly octagonal within, enhance the design’s depth and legibility. The Oursin 41 brings the sea and the stars into a single, contemporary silhouette.
BUILT FOR WEAR
Designed and assembled by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the Oursin 41 is powered by the Zenith Elite–based GG-005 automatic calibre, equipped with an 18K yellow gold oscillating mass, a 50-hour power reserve and a 4 Hz frequency. A rubber strap and 50 metres of water resistance ensure everyday comfort without compromising its sculptural identity.
