Bvlgari introduces the Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo at Dubai Watch Week 2025, marking a moment where art, design, and watchmaking converge. The launch reflects the brand’s ongoing vision of shaping contemporary horology through cultural collaboration, presenting an edition that resonates both locally and internationally.
A DIALOGUE BETWEEN ART AND DESIGN
The Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo brings together Italian design and Arabic calligraphy in a clear, focused expression. The Octo’s geometric structure integrates Mattar Bin Lahej’s engraved artwork across the titanium case, bracelet, and dial. Inspired by the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,“The future will be for those who can imagine, design, and implement it. The future does not wait, but it can be designed and built today.”
The calligraphy introduces a subtle cultural presence that complements the watch’s ultra-thin profile. The engravings emphasise the character of the Octo Finissimo without overpowering its silhouette, creating a balance between precision and expression. The result is a piece that retains the purity of the original design while carrying a distinct artistic presence, a fusion that reflects both regional creativity and Bvlgari’s contemporary design language.

Bvlgari’s extra-thin automatic movement sits at the center of the watch, measuring just over 2 mm in height and powered by a micro-rotor that preserves the Octo Finissimo’s 5 mm-thin profile. Visible through the transparent back, its hand-finished surfaces, including Geneva stripes, chamfered edges, and circular graining, reflect the brand’s long-standing dedication to mechanical clarity and artistic detail.
